My name is Mahshid Rahmani, a girl from Afghanistan who doesn’t let her dreams stay behind closed doors. As a management student at the Youth Institute, I have learned that even when the outside world seems silent, my inner voice for growth and leadership must remain loud. My journey is not just to earn a degree; it is to prove that a girl’s will can create a path where there was none before.
Finding Strength in Small Screens
When the schools and universities in my city went through dark days, I didn’t lose my way. Through a simple mobile phone and the Youth Foundation’s virtual classes, I found my new classroom. Studying management in the midst of a crisis taught me something no school could: how to discipline my own hope. I learned that a digital connection can be the strongest bridge to my future.
Leading Your Own Path
For me, management is a tool with which I rebuild. Management is the art of using the smallest resources I have: time, energy, and a mobile phone, to transform them into a great future. At the Youth Institute, I am training more than just a student; I am training to be a leader who can manage challenges and find light in the shadows.
My message to Afghan girls:
My message to my brave sisters and to all young people is this: Don’t wait for someone to open the door for you. Be the manager of your own destiny today. Use every online lesson and every digital opportunity to grow. When we manage challenges instead of fearing them, we become the leaders our country needs. The future is still in our hands.
